Role:

As the Director of UX Research, you will lead our efforts to deeply understand our users and their jobs to be done (JTBD),. You'll be responsible for creating detailed user personas, mapping out their day-to-day experiences, and uncovering the critical JTBD that our products must fulfill. This role is not just about gathering insights; it's about translating these insights into actionable strategies that guide product development and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive UX research strategy that aligns with our product roadmap and business goals. Lead the UX Research team, fostering a culture of curiosity and insight-driven product development.

User Personas and Journey Mapping: Craft detailed user personas and map "day in the life" scenarios to understand the context, challenges, and opportunities our users face. Utilize these insights to inform product design and development.

Understanding JTBD: Conduct in-depth research to uncover the "jobs to be done" for our users, guiding the product team in creating solutions that contextualize user pain points and deliver right outcomes

Collaborative Insight Integration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure research findings are integrated into product strategies, design decisions, and development priorities.

Research Methodology Excellence: Apply a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to gather insights at different stages of the product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond.

Evangelization and Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for UX research, promoting its value throughout the organization and ensuring stakeholders at all levels understand and act on research findings.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of UX research experience, with a focus on B2B or enterprise technology, including significant experience in leadership roles.

- Demonstrated expertise in creating user personas, mapping user journeys, and identifying jobs to be done.

- Proficient in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.

- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Master’s or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field is preferred.
