We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Scientist with mid-level experience to lead and contribute to data-driven solutions in the areas of operations research and geospatial analysis. This position will bridge the gap between data science and management, playing a key role in applying advanced analytics to optimize business processes and drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geospatial data analysis, operations research, and experience managing cross-functional teams, with a particular focus on routing optimization and traffic data analysis.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a focus on operations research and geospatial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Experience with open-source routing engines (e.g., Valhalla, OSRM) and vehicle routing problem (VRP) tools.
- Experience working with geospatial data, traffic data, and integrating these into routing models and other operational decision-making tools.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, as well as familiarity with geospatial libraries (e.g., Geopandas, Shapely).
- Solid understanding of optimization techniques, such as linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and simulation models.
- Proven track record of applying data science methodologies to solve business problems in logistics, transportation, or supply chain domains.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn) for predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud-based geospatial services such as AWS, Google Earth Engine, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of business and economic considerations in operational decision-making processes
