Who will you be joining?

As a working student in Group Actuarial you will support the digitalization team in developing new approaches for actuarial reserving. With focus on predictive analytics and by using machine learning approaches you will be part of a small team implementing these solutions in collaboration with international data scientists and data engineers.        

How can you make an impact?

You will:

• Enhance actuarial analyses by using machine learning approaches
• Develop new concepts for analyzing and estimating claims experience
• Understand data input sources, prepare and process data
• Assess data quality, completeness and correctness
• Automate solutions and implement them in an efficient and ready-to-use way

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

• You are currently working towards a university degree (preferably Master) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a similar field
• Programming experience in Python (e.g. pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) is required
• Machine learning knowledge is required
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Git
• Good proficiency of the English language, German language is beneficial
• Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities, problem solving ability
• Independent and outcome-oriented working style
