RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Finance strives to be at the forefront of BASF's digitalization journey. We, the team Digital Excellence & Transformation, are responsible for Corporate Finance's digital transformation by setting clear priorities on Business Steering, IT & Data as well as People & Culture. We drive, support and develop innovative reporting, analytics and AI solutions in the area of financial steering and sustainability, leveraging latest technologies and effective usage of data. We are looking for you as a working student for up to 20 hours per week from June 2024 for a period of at least six months.

  • You will support the Digital Excellence unit as well as the global Controlling Community with the development and evolvement of existing and new advanced artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Furthermore, you will actively drive digitalization of Controlling and Finance in BASF forward.
  • You will be able to contribute and further develop your own knowledge and skills in the areas of Large Language Models, App Development, Vector Databases.
  • Finally, you will be able to build a global network consisting of IT, Digitalization Experts, Business, Controlling & Finance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ongoing studies in computer science, mathematics, statistics or business administration with a focus on AI-driven (in particular large language models) applications
  • experience in Data Analytics, -Engineering and AI: relational- and vector databases, large language models, app development in Python (streamlit)
  • interest in economy, finance, controlling and experience in working in agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum) and DevOps concepts are beneficial
  • creative and motivated working style with a strong focus on innovation and customers as well as excellent communication and presentation skills in English (German being a plus)
