The Vice President, Data Science Consumer will enhance client experience through timely and meaningful engagement, deploying new products, new methodologies, and product and process enhancements. The individual is expected to have a deep understanding of NIQ’s Consumer Products, and pro-actively monitor and improve product health across markets in the region.

Remote based role based in the US. Candidates must be physically located within the US.

Job Description

As the Vice President, Data Science Consumer, you will engage with NIQ’s Consumer clients, client business partners, customer success teams, Product Leadership to understand and meet client expectations. The individual will lead the functions of client engagement, design and enhancement of our Consumer products, building and enhancing methodologies of and technological solutions for our products, and ensuring the clients have access to the platform for consumer data.

The individual will also be expected to build on NIQ’s eminence in the Data Science domain, collaborating with industry and universities on thought leaderships and whitepapers, as well as play a key role in client councils and roundtables.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with large clients, Client Business Partners (CBPs) and Customer Success, Commercial partners to understand and meet client needs at a global level.
  • Work with CBPs and Customer Success, Commercial to manage escalations.
  • Collaborate with Client and Product teams on Client Councils and Roundtables.
  • Support CBPs/ Commercial teams on competitive intelligence and M&A that require Data Science due diligence.
  • Strengthen the core products by identifying technological opportunities and execute them.
  • Deploy new solutions in a smooth and seamless manner.
  • Understand and assess Product Health across markets from a Data Science perspective.
  • Use a robust/ standardized/ streamlined approach and framework to meet global client demands.
  • Support and be engaged in the Data Science transformation journey.
  • Partner with industry and universities on Thought Leaderships, whitepapers, etc.
  • Make NIQ Data Science the destination for talent.

About you

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on, go-getter attitude. Having a mix of technical and soft skills, you are easily able to build stories and visualizations of complex datasets and analyses. You understand concepts, products, and processes thoroughly and can articulate these to non-experts. You understand and are able to incorporate technology in solutions.

You can influence senior stakeholders and can manage challenging conversations. You can bring together various teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across teams. You see the big picture while having an attention to details.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in a product/client engagement role. Must have client facing exposure.
  • Strong focus in consumer panel or digital consumer data.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team of seasoned professionals.
  • Knowledge of statistics and programming languages such as Python/R.
  • Working knowledge with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, etc) and mapping tools.
  • Post-graduate with a degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Management, or related fields, involving statistical analysis of large data sets.
  • Experience in modeling, predictive analysis, advanced statistics, AI/ML is preferred.
  • Background in leading teams on a global scale is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NIQ products is favorable.
