Job Description

We are seeking for a data science intern to join our Digital Innovation team. As a data science intern, you will work on exciting projects that leverage machine learning, statistics, and data visualization to solve real-world problems and generate business insights. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and domain experts across the company and use various tools and platforms to access, process, and analyze large-scale data sets.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • Assist the team of data engineers and ML engineers with the development and optimization of our data and model pipelines, as well as data cleaning/wrangling.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis and modeling to find patterns in large datasets.
  • Apply data science techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, time series modeling, optimization, etc. to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Communicate and present data science findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL required.
  • Knowledge of business analytics, economic principles, and an understanding of how data-driven decisions drive business success is a strong plus.
  • Results oriented with strong business acumen and practical data science skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preference given to candidates who will not require relocation to the Milpitas, CA area.
