Team Summary

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results.

The individual will be part of VCA Data Solutions team, under Managed Services vertical and will be responsible for delivering data analytics projects with a key Visa client. The team is involved in a comprehensive range of analytics services for our client, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, cards profitability, product acquisitions, customer engagement and portfolio management.

What a Senior Manager – Managed Services does at Visa:

This role will be a member of VCA Data Solutions team in Asia Pacific and will report to the Head of Data overseeing the client account. This position will be embedded at client office and based in Bangalore.

The individual will be accountable for delivery and implementation of analytics strategies as well as high-impact solutions for the client. He/she will bring in deep expertise from retail banking and credit cards with a strong background in data analysis to solve complex problems and unlock business value.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of analytics work in client squads, implement analytics-driven strategies as well as high-impact solutions for the Visa client
  • Play the role of an individual contributor as well as team lead to develop data science capabilities & analytical solutions that solve business problems for the client
  • Lead and mentor with working knowledge in retail banking , credit card and payments domain to guide team members on solution architecture
  • Drive new initiatives and innovation by using data and technical frameworks
  • Act as data science advocate within our partners, advising and coaching analytical teams and sharing best practices and case studies
  • Continually look at the environment to challenge our assumptions around new sources of data, potential analytics partners, tools, talent and infrastructure
  • Export leading methodologies and best practices to other teams and importing successful methodologies from other international markets

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience building end-to-end analytical solutions and data-driven strategies
• Master’s degree in an analytical field such as computer science, data engineering, data science, econometrics, or similar
• Experience in Card or Retail banking analytical domain
• Hands on experience with one or more data analytics/programming tools such as SAS/Salford SPM/Hadoop/R/SQL/Python/Hive, and a working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
• Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and managing multiple analytics projects with diverse cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong internal team and external client stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
• Presentation and data storytelling skills including strong hold on MS Excel and PowerPoint
