JOB DESCRIPTION
AI Governance, part of the newly established AI & Data Innovation Department is unleashing new opportunities at Visa by developing and driving the business strategy for AI / Gen AI and data innovation. Driving the development of novel AI / GenAI / data science technologies, leading data product development to create value for clients and partners and driving innovative application of AI / data science to solve business problems among other Innovation activities. The AI Governance Team is accountable for creating and owning Visa’s entire AI Governance policy and processes. The AI Governance team is a critical catalyst for data innovation, maximizing the impact from AI and Gen AI technologies and capabilities in a way that aligns with our Data and AI principles.
The AI & Data Innovation Department in turn rolls up to the broader Global Data Office (GDO) led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer. The Senior Manager, AI Governance Strategy & Operations will report into the Global Head of AI Governance and will be a key member of the AI Governance team. The Sr. Manager will act as a lead resource on matters related to AI Governance principles, policies, and processes. They will own the internal AI Governance strategic roadmap. The Sr. Manager will be also involved in the execution of a wide spectrum of projects as a part of broader AI Governance team, aimed at driving the development of AI use to keep up with the pace of Visa’s business growth, development, and innovation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor and understand regulatory landscape together with our Legal, Privacy, and Risk teams, and introduce changes to AI Governance artifacts as needed.
Undertake research, analysis, and development in collaboration with cross functional subject matter experts (SMEs) that will shape the future of Visa’s AI governance framework.
Maintain short, medium, and long-term strategic roadmap for AI Governance at Visa and manage action tracker to ensure projects and open items are progressing and act when necessary to promote accountability within the business unit.
Create materials (e.g., PowerPoint decks) as required to support the socialization of AI Governance at Visa.
Create training materials and organize workshops and projects for the training of Visa staff on AI Governance principles and framework across the organization.
Create content, update, and maintain internal and external Visa employee and user web pages.
Manage inquiries from the business about AI Governance, principles, policies, best practices, etc.
Together with other members of the AI Governance team, monitor the inventory of AI systems in development and production.
Effectively manage the facilitation of internal audit requests and other required assessments. Coordinate with SMEs, maintain audit issues listing, track findings and mitigation, and conduct long term trend analysis.
Work together with AI sponsors, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to help maximize value creation through AI in the right way, balancing innovation, regulatory guidance, and consumer risks.
Provide ad hoc support for other AI Governance workstreams as needed or special projects.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161,500.00 to 210,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
