The Cloud Infrastructure Strategy, Planning & Delivery Finance team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager - Data Scientist to provide systems/tools project management, automation, simplification. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also be at the forefront of building out tools, systems, and roadmaps to evolve our growing business, driving efficiencies, accuracy, and time/cost savings.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage and collaborate across cross-functional business partners (Engineering/Finance) to manage key tools/systems build outs and implementation, while managing associated budget to ensure results are delivered within expectations
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include all relevant information for optimizing analytics
  • Opportunistically evolve current state to drive continuous improvement and standardization of finance/accounting processes, including implementation of best practices to promote compliance, efficiency, accuracy, and time.
  • Create, track and maintain project plans to support the transformation roadmap of our current systems to the desired state in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business teams in root/cause analysis, bug resolution, enhancement, testing and change management of MSIO’s systems and tools
  • Tailor communication to audiences at all levels including upper-level leadership on status of projects
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monitoring and reporting to facilitate prioritization and to measure impact of implementations

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years Accounting/Finance experience  
  • Experience in transforming the controllership function and/or activities such as record to report, order to cash, source to pay.
  • Experience implementing systems and tools, focusing on automation and compliance
  • Experience identifying and managing process improvement initiatives
  • Business partnering experience, collaborative and inclusive when working with others
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle
  • Support change management, stakeholder communication and user training during system/tools implementation phases
  • Able to connect finance needs with systems/tools automation and improvements
  • Technical skills and ability to understand system infrastructure, tooling, UAT, and automation needs
  • Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritize as needed
  • Experience translating financial analysis and insights into meaningful and actionable business communications and recommendations
  • Proven skills  in proactively driving and delivering value and impactful project results through both individual and virtual-team efforts

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
