We’re shaping the future of work by leveraging cutting-edge AI and Generative AI technologies. Our team is dedicated to transforming how work gets done by applying new techniques, tools, and data to solve problems that haven’t even been recognized yet.  We rapidly prototype AI-driven solutions, sharing use cases across the company to demonstrate their potential value. As a Data Scientist specializing in Transformational AI, you’ll help bring these prototypes to life through data preparation, coding, and integrations before handing them off to our implementation team.

  1. AI Tools Evaluation: Continuously research, evaluate, and experiment with the latest AI, AutoML, automated feature engineering, and generative AI tools and methods. Assess their applicability to solve business problems and deliver value.
  2. Adaptation to Novel Use Cases: Adapt new AI technologies and processes to develop tailored solutions that address unique and complex business challenges. Design data science experiments to validate the applicability of these technologies.
  3. Prototype Development: Rapidly develop and deploy prototypes that showcase the capabilities of novel AI tools, processes and use cases. Use tools like Gradio and Streamlit to create interactive demos that clearly communicate potential business impacts to stakeholders. Guide the development of AI/GenAI simulators that help explain model input, output, and results.
  4. Data Set Creation & Preparation: Collaborate with data engineers to identify, design, gather, and prepare MVP datasets that facilitate AI experimentation and MVP model construction.
  5. Automated Feature Engineering: Explore and implement automated feature engineering techniques to accelerate feature extraction and transformation for machine learning models. Leverage generative AI for feature ideation and hypothesis testing.
  6. Cross-Functional Communication: Present your findings and prototypes to stakeholders, providing clear, actionable insights that demonstrate the value and potential of novel AI technologies. Foster collaboration between product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to integrate AI innovations into core business processes, driving continuous innovation and learning.
  7. Expand AI Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of in evolving AI technologies, tools, and methods, ensuring that the company is aware of the changing landscape. Conduct seminars to explain the new art-of-the-possible.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field. PhD is a plus.

Experience with AI Tools & Methods: 3+ years of experience working on data science projects, with a focus on evaluating and adapting novel AI tools and methods.

Proficiency in Coding: Strong experience with R and/or Python programming for AI/GenAI, and an understanding of SQL for data manipulation. Experience with Snowflake is preferred. Success in using GenAI for coding/scripting is highly preferred.

Data Science Expertise: Proven experience in building and evaluating machine learning models. Preference for experience with automating feature engineering and rapidly building MVP models.

Rapid Prototyping Skills: Experience in rapidly developing AI prototypes, including interactive demos or model simulators, using tools like Gradio, Streamlit, or similar tools.

Communication Skills: A passion for sharing AI concepts, tools, advances, etc. The ability to persuade stakeholders, end users, and any interested party how AI can provide business value. Very strong presentation and demo skills.

Extra Consideration For:

AutoML: Familiarity with AutoML processes/tools and their application to rapid model development.

Generative AI: Experience with generative AI models (e.g., GPT, transformers) for data augmentation, feature engineering, or solving real-world business problems.

AI in Snowflake: Experience using AI tools within Snowflake, such as Cortex, for transforming data or feature engineering.

Interactive Demos: Experience in creating interactive demos that showcase AI models, their input/output, and potential user experiences.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $151,900 - $258,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
