Team
The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the impressive growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile gaming industry. Within the Data team, you’ll join the Ad-Network Team which is an autonomous squad of around 20 people.  The team is composed of top-tier software engineers, infrastructure engineers, data engineers, mobile engineers, and data scientists (among which 3 Kaggle Masters).The goal of this team is to provide a way for Voodoo to monetize our inventory directly with advertising partners, and relies on advanced technological solutions to optimize advertising in a real-time bidding environment. It is a strategic project with significant impact on the business on direct margin, advertisement content selection, game prototype testing and audience survey. Our product is already showing promising signs of success and is now entering a fast-paced scaling phase. We want to onboard a passionate senior data scientist with significant experience in a similar environment to allow us to go one step further. This is an opportunity to have a strategic and critical impact on Voodoo’s success.
This position is hybrid and requires 2/3 days per week in the office based in Paris. 

Role

  • Improve existing models or propose new approaches to our current install rate and LTV estimation models
  • Build and deploy quickly scalable ML systems 
  • Work closely with product managers and other engineers to ensure that incremental ML performance translates into significant business impact
  • Discuss state of the art ML topics with other data scientists, share ideas and challenge existing systems
  • Gain understanding of and engage in developing a variety of essential components to build an advertising network, including: A/B testing systems, budget management, creative selection, performance monitoring, campaign optimization, app profiling, and user profiling
  • Closely examine the performance of the ad network to identify issues and propose data-driven ideas.

Profile

  • 5/6 years+ of experience building machine learning systems
  • Prior experience working in dynamic, production-focused environments
  • You’re excited by the latest deep learning advancements but also familiar with the ins and outs of gradient boosting
  • You like to deep dive into complex topics to squeeze the last bit of performance
  • Strong achievements on Kaggle will be valued
  • You enjoy working in a team, learning new things, sharing knowledge
  • Excellent Communication in English mandatory, French is a nice to have
