The Human-centered AI team at Evinova aims to transform the patient experience and clinical trial process by embedding data science and AI in digital solutions serving clinical trials. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to specialize in the development of novel digital endpoints using data science, statistical learning, and innovative machine learning methods on multi-modal datasets.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work with complex multimodal clinical datasets, conduct analysis using data science and machine learning techniques, research and implement novel methods in signal processing, optimization, machine learning, data analysis, data visualization. You will build data and analysis pipelines to deliver clinical insights and reusable capabilities. You will communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders at multiple levels and collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with world leading clinicians, data scientists and statisticians, biological experts, clinical trial delivery teams, and engineering professionals.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- M.Sc. degree in rigorous quantitative science (such as mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering) or have demonstrated an outstanding track-record of industry experience (2+ years) with the desired data science methodologies with a B.Sc. in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience with and a sound understanding of a variety of statistical and machine learning methods.
- Experience with wearable device data, signal processing, time series analysis.
- Practical software development skills in standard data science tools: Python, R, Git, UNIX skills, familiarity working in cloud environment and high-performance computing clusters.
- Knowledge of range of mathematical and statistical modelling techniques.
- Communication, business analysis, and consultancy; ability to present compelling cases to stakeholders and operate dynamically to identify solutions. Ability to work effectively within a team.
Desirable
- Ph.D./M.Sc. degree in rigorous quantitative science (such as mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering)
- Advanced statistical and machine learning models such as hierarchical mixed bayesian models, transformer-based NLP models, reinforcement learning, deep learning models that span CNN/RNN/LSTM, GNNs, constrained optimization, state-of-the-art timeseries & forecasting models.
- Experience within the life sciences industry.
