Job Description

You will be part of a very dynamic, highly motivated and fast-growing Analytics team in Turkey and will develop analytical solutions to the benefit of our clients' and their customers.

The role holder must have significant experience (5-6 years at least) in the development of analytics and data science projects in the field of credit life cycle, risk management, anti-fraud modelling and/or marketing & CRM. Knowledge and experience of open banking and transactional data analytics will be a major plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design analytics solutions to client's problems in any area of customer life cycle and analytics, using Experian analytics solutions to match best practice – this includes hands-on delivery of data science related contents like development of analytical models and ad hoc analysis, tracking model performance, incident resolution (low accuracy troubleshooting, mis-categorization issue analysis), productionization of developed models, documentation, etc.
  • Engage in a consultative way with the client, to identify problems and define, design and deliver analytics solutions, with a particular expertise in machine learning modelling and/or optimisation techniques.
  • Present proposals to clients for analytics solutions, including recommendations.
  • Provide consultancy on the potential 'bigger picture' strategies.
  • Regularly present to clients to ensure they understand the functionality and benefits of Experian's products in solving business problems.
  • Support the analytics team members on in the development robust analytical solutions for different clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts.
  • Co-ordinate with Experian's Sales team to contribute to sales opportunities and support the conversion of sales prospects especially for the transactional data analytics opportunities but not limited to this
  • Participate in pre-sales and sales meetings with clients and prospects to describe and position Experian's analytics propositions and to adapt it to the specific client's needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts.
  • Plan, organize and complete project work to meet team commitments within agreed timescales
  • Take responsibility for prompt resolution of both internal and external queries and questions.
  • Lead the development of the client solutions for the area of open banking and transactional data analytics mostly.
  • Build sufficient knowledge of clients' values and business model to ensure our solutions fully meet their needs.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the project deliverables, for the project work meeting client/customer objectives and being delivered to schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high numeric content e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
  • 6+ years of work experience in analytics, ideally with at least 3 years' experience in consultancy.
  • Good knowledge and experienced in business unit products and operations especially in Banking and Telecommunications sectors (i.e. Credit Lifecycle, Open Banking, Marketing Analytics, Risk Analytics, Regulations, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of a broad range of analytical methodologies and their use in solving business problems
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering high quality analytics projects.
  • Solid hands-on experience in data science and machine learning modelling with Python
  • Experience with deep learning and other advanced modelling approaches to extract and automate insights from data.
  • Proven ability to shape and define large, complex solutions to meet client requirements
  • Ability to cope and deliver excellent results in a high-performance environment.
  • Experience in achieving and being tracked on project financials is a plus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

The following qualifications and skills will be considered a further advantage

  • Previous experience in analytics on Big Data platforms (e.g. Cloudera, Databricks) and related programming frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark)
  • Fluency with statistical significance tests and Monte Carlo simulation.
  • Knowledge in container-based deployment technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) and Exposure to Linux
  • Experience with DB technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) and with CI/CD process development
