Job Description

Our data science team offers cloud architecture, data engineering, data modelling, AI, and business intelligence services to our clients. For the Senior Consultant, Data Science role, we are looking for a combination of data engineering and data modelling skills. You will report to a Senior Director, Data Science.

  • You will have experience in building data pipelines using SQL and Python in a cloud hosted environment such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure. You will also have experience in data modelling such as audience clustering, predictive lifetime value scoring, and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include:
  • You will be a primary consultant to clients for data and analytics related services coordinating across other support and consultant roles.
  • You will collect client project requirements and create solution designs to solve for client's business and technical needs.
  • You will create datasets and views of data that will be consumed by teams of analysts and data scientists to support data mining, analytics, reporting, and dashboards.
  • You will estimate projects involving data integration, data architecture, business analysis or data modelling and collaborate with sales and client success teams to grow accounts.
  • You will participate in product roadmap discussions and identifying key areas for improvement of products and services.
  • You will provide subject matter expertise on industry trends for database-related technologies.
  • You will build cooperative, productive relationships with clients and vendors
  • You will promote and demonstrate data management best practices and among a team of analysts and data scientists.
  • You will promote the company and team, acting as a self-starter, and demonstrating proactive initiative.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience with developing data pipelines and data models in a cloud environment
  • Can accommodate at least a 70% overlap of working time with North American teams and clients, based on central time zone (CT)
  • Advanced skills in SQL and Python
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Experience with cloud hosted analysis products such as BigQuery (preferred), Azure SQL DB/Synapse, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift
  • Experience with data extraction using ETL tools and working with data source APIs. Ideally within the context of digital media, such as extracting data from Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, etc.
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a big plus that may help you stand out amongst candidates.
  • Experience with optimizing BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, DOMO or Power BI is nice to have.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
