Job Description
 

Sprinklr has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Data Scientist to join the Enterprise Analytics team. 

This person will work on all facets of data modeling, up to and including the design of the tools that the models support.  They will engineer the underlying data sources, where needed, to support both analytics and data science models. 

They will design Al/ML algorithms to develop predictions and recommendations for key areas within the company, including customer purchase likelihood and customer retention.  

They will also serve as a Product Manager of the model(s), capturing feedback and inputs from stakeholders, and outlining a roadmap for continuous enhancements.

This role requires ongoing collaboration with front-line managers all the way to executive leadership.  Therefore, candidates need exceptional communication skills combined with a deep understanding of the business. 

This role will take that insight from business processes and customer relationships to further enhance existing models.

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of data science, starting with the engineering of the data model to serve as the foundation. 

  • Develop and deploy predictive models, recommendation models, etc., to provide future predictions for specified enterprise objectives.

  • Architect the design of the data & models to continuously assess accuracy and retrain at prescribed intervals.

  • Continuously seek out additional data points that can be leveraged to improve accuracy and applicability of the model’s results.

  • Work with leaders, product engineers and user experience researchers to understand customer data and explore opportunities to turn qualitative data into quantitative data for use in recommendation models.

  • Maintain exceptional understanding of business KPIs and related business/customer processes to ensure the relevancy of the model.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills needed to articulate the model’s impact in business terms, whether tofront-line managers or to executive leaders.

  • Design the tool (using PowerBI) that sits on top of the ML model, which is used by management to interpret the predictions/recommendations.

  • Leverage and test multiple methodologies for advanced analysis projects (predictive models, clustering / segmentation, etc.), with the intent to select one that yields the most accurate approach.

  • Use analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, extracting actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques and statistics (e. g., predictive models, LTV, propensity models).

  • Mentor team members on data and analytical projects, or on cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD in a field that is emphasized in building and maintaining machine learning models that help drive insights, along with thought leadership in the data science field.

  • 6+ years of work experience in the field of Data Science, building and delivering machine learning / AI algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, time series forecasting, topic modeling, anomaly detection etc.

  • 6+ years of work on articulating the value of the models, correlating how the model addresses business needs, and ensuring that the models are delivering insights that drive the business.

  • Experience with Snowflake (Snowpark is a plus)

  • Advanced experience with Python, R, SQL, and any other related programs for executing the above responsibilities.

  • Experience in working with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Consumption and Operational data.

  • Experience in building data visualization reports and dashboards as a key deliverable for Executives and Stakeholders to utilize the results of the models.

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.

  • Advanced presentation skills to share key insights with executives, senior leadership and business stakeholders

  • Experience with data management and having an understanding of data structures as well as data ingestion, blending, transformation and visualization techniques.

Compensation Range

$134,000 - $178,000 - $223,000

The base salary range for this role at minimum, midpoint and maximum is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge, skills to our internal peers in the role.  Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s  discretionary bonus plan, commission plan and/or equity plan, depending on role.

US-based Sprinklr employees are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ health, well-being, and financial protection.  The US-based benefits include a 401k plan with 100% vested company contributions, flexible paid time off, holidays, generous caregiver and parental leaves, life and disability insurance, and health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
