Job Description

The Principal Data Scientist is an expert who is passionate about all aspects of data science and can contribute by designing, conducting, and incorporating analyses of data from end to end and from a wide variety of sources. This involves converting ambiguous requirements to concrete solutions for exploring data, designing and/or applying appropriate algorithms, documenting the findings, and incorporating the analysis into the system.

The ideal candidate is an insightful visionary and a hands-on contributor who is excited about the complexity and challenges involved in creating intelligent, high-performance systems while working with a highly experienced and driven data science team.

On any given day you will be...

  • Working in an integrated Data Science, Engineering, and Product team to build new methods of targeting media based on web content.
  • Working with the Engineering team to improve our architecture and services including web crawler optimization and scalable NLP computations.
  • Using NLP to understand a webpage’s content and visitors to the webpage.
  • Connecting crawler-derived features to consumer intent.
  • Assisting other Data Science priorities like modeling campaign performance, identifying fraud, and attributing consumer actions to served media

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will likely have…

  • An advanced degree in a relevant, quantitative field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Machine Learning .
  • Significant experience with big data distributed architectures such as Spark, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Docker.
  • Significant experience with cloud platforms.
  • Proficient in Python in a corporate setting.
  • Experience with AdTech and MarTech is a big plus.
  • Ability to grow and ultimately mentor team members of varying experience levels and competencies through data science, product and software development life cycles.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence colleagues and manage business priorities.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $190-200K

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
