In this role, you will have exposure and visibility to PayPal Merchant Marketing, PayPal Sales, Product, Finance & MarTech teams, as you work with them to create a holistic solution to marketing problems. Your day to day
Partner and collaborate closely with Merchant Marketing team as the key stakeholder, and work in a cross functional setting, to understand the business requirements, analyse business performance and deliver analytical solutions
Lead and perform deep-dive analyses on key business trends using analytical and statistical tools on large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets
Communicate the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents and actively drive stakeholder engagement to influence business decisions
Liaise with sister analytics teams to drive alignment on measurement approaches, KPI definitions and adoption of self-serve tools
Supervise the development of a portfolio of approaches to measure incrementality of marketing programs
Be responsible for delivering accurate, and actionable recommendations to drive business performance and investment optimization
Own KPI definitions, success measures for marketing programs, and collaborate with the horizontal function to prototype reports, tableau dashboards, and data cubes to power performance narratives & proactive intelligence
Establish close partnerships with marketing and analytics teams to embed analytics upstream in decision making and continuously engage with these teams with end to end ownership of analytics deliverables
What do you need to bring
Bachelors/MS/PhD Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics
Excellent knowledge of SQL. Knowledge of either Python or R
Excellent knowledge in Statistics, Experimentation, Test Design Setup, Measurement and A/B Testing, Geo Test, etc.
3 to 4 years of analytics experience
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with strong ability to drive towards action and impact
Experience managing analytics projects from inception to delivery, including developing structured solutions
Experience with visualizations, tools such as Tableau, Looker dashboards, and reports
Experience with data modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques is a plus.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Background in marketing analytics role is a plus
