We are looking for our very first HPC/AI Sales Manager for the US market, who can speak about AI/HPC products and services, has a passion for technology, and an established network in the industry!

In 2022, CGG launched a new business line, HPC and Cloud Solutions, to build a business from our 70 years of experience and expertise in the domain of the High Performance Computing. Our business line has the ambition to become one of the main contributors to CGG strategy and propel the company in its exciting journey to become a global technology and HPC leader providing data, products, services and solutions in Earth science, data science and HPC-as-a-service solutions.

Our HPC Business Development and Sales team consists of senior and recognized experts in their respective domain. They are openminded, creative, and are able to think out of the box. We develop business opportunities and sales with the objective of increasing revenue and to drive a profitable growth. We work in very close collaboration with our technical colleagues, and we build and adapt our commercial offer through innovation and a fine understanding of the markets and needs.

Our future US HPC and AI Sales Manager will leverage their understanding of the market and their network to pioneer the business in the US. Able to work in an agile and fast-paced environment, they will follow the cycle end-to-end from building the offer all the way through closing the sales.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Under the leadership of the Global Head of Sales and the Global Program Director for HPC CS, the US HPC and AI Sales Manager will create and develop the sales organization in North America.
  • Develop external awareness and extend CGG’s ecosystem in North America by creating and growing a portfolio of local reference customers and partners, and by maintaining a broad market and competitors’ knowledge.
  • Leverage HPCCS existing business and foresee future business by working in close collaboration and in a virtuous feedback loop with CGG’s technical experts.
  • Drive and lead the end to end sale cycle, from prospection to closing deals based on a full portfolio including hardware, software, Cloud and services needed for our customers’ requirements.
  • Understand and anticipate on CGG HPCCS’s customer needs in establishing a professional, working, and consultative relationship with clients, including the C- level and maintaining expertise on IT at all levels – new applications, maintenance, typical budgets of the CIO's, typical objectives, measures, and metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration followed by relevant professional experience in the HPC/AI industry.

Key Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical selling in the HPC & AI Cloud.
  • Has developed business in their vertical in North America.
  • Has experience in prospecting and maintaining client relationships.
  • Sales and account management experience.
  • Has used sales tracking or customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Sales planning and organization skills.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Experience in a global organization is preferred.
