Your mission
When offering subscriptions and other similar operational lease financial products, Volvo Cars bears the full financial risk for those vehicles. We now aim to strengthen our analytical fire power when it comes to calculating and understanding the risks involved in managing those asset portfolios.
You will be involved in setting up the technical infrastructure regarding the development and creation of data models, required for analytical capacity to secure the input for correct portfolio valuations, and further develop our models to enhance our understanding of the future value of our financial assets. You will test and model on the data to find correlations, and more ways and better ways, to learn from the data. You will also be publishing analyses and reports in PowerBI workspace and app, maintaining and developing existing and new reports, and automate processes. You understand the importance of making sure past and present data is structured and available to support real-time decision-making.
At the same time, it’s important that you can understand the business logic and can apply a basic financial/operational lens on data you assess. You are probably intrigued by the goal to create world-class visualizations to make sense of data.
Who are you
You are curious by nature and passionate about improving a business that is new and evolving. You love being the data scientist with the business acumen and project management skills to understand what needs to be done and be able to actually do it. When you hear what the business needs you instantly start to think of how to extract and structure data to accomplish this.
We believe you to be a quick learner when it comes to new software and adaptable in terms of new processes. Previous coding experience is a plus, in order to understand algorithm theory and what can be achieved using different software systems and programming languages. Previous experience from Residual Value Management and Pricing is also very valuable.
We are looking for people who enjoy collaboration and accountability, as the ability to work within teams is key for success. You are bold, have integrity, are curious and have a strong business acumen. You are a person with high ambition that finds an entrepreneurial company mindset inspiring. Since we are starting up a new business it is important that you have an interest in building something new rather than maintaining existing processes. In return you’ll get to be part of a new founded RV Risk and Analytics team.
To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
• Business Intelligence and data visualization experience
• An understanding of data modelling and data management
• Comfortable with SQL and experience with additional programming languages (for example Python) for ETL and other analytical use-cases
• +2 years of work experience in a relevant position

• Fluent in English, additional languages is a bonus
