Regional Audit Delivery Centres (Impact Centres) support Audit and Assurance engagement teams with the completion of Audit processes and engagement support administrative activity as part of the wider Audit Transformational Programme. The Impact Centres are designed to support teams across the audit engagement lifecycle through providing a range of support services to reduce the levels of administrative work placed on practitioners. Inpact Centres support more efficient and cost-effective working practices, whilst improving quality standards. The activity undertaken within the Centres will evolve as they become embedded into the audit life cycle and as Deloitte Way Workflows are launched and implemented.
Job Description
The data scientist is a specialist skill set within the Impact Centre team in Deloitte Audit business. The main purpose of the role is to create innovative data solutions, automate solutions, design new warehouse processes, design mechanisms to draw insights from data for key stakeholders.
Key Competencies:
- Building tailor made SQL solutions for reporting/monitoring purposes and automation of controls.
- Data analysis to derive insights
- Making sound data recommendations to the business to align with best data governance principles
- Design, develop, implement database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
- Utilising Store procedures to create routines that maintain reporting and automated controls.
- Identify opportunities to and build appropriate models/other solutions for use in the company's operations
- Creating logic links between data from various systems to facilitate cross system and multi-dimensional reporting
- Automation of controls in the business processes
- Design and implement automated data comparison solutions to trigger and facilitate certain control processes
- Simplifying complex manual processes into simple automated (or semi-automated) processes,
- Managing technical stakeholders across the business.
- Modelling of complex business problems.

Qualifications
- Degree in Statistics/Computer Science/ Engineering/ Mathematics (or combination of)
- BI development experience (>3 years)
- SSIS and Microsoft stack (310 years professional experience)
- Expert level knowledge of T-SQL (>5 years professional experience)
- Expert level data analysis skills (>5 years professional experience)
- Advanced EXCEL
- Expert using PowerBI
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and provide solution
- Knowledge of audit processes will be an advantage
- 4-7 years of relevant work experience in a data driven organisation where the power of data was harnessed and fully leveraged
