As part of the Supply Partner Product Analytics and Experimentation team at EG, we help deliver and refine meaningful applications and products for our diverse suppliers! Specifically, engage with business, strategy, product and tech teams working on compelling platforms, tools and adaptive experiences. You will contribute to product improvements through reporting and analyses using diverse statistical methods, such as AB experiments, valuation models and behavioral segmentation. You will work closely with other highly skilled analysts across EG, partnering with our Product and Engineering teams as well as colleagues across Data Science, Finance and Product
What you’ll do:
Directly manage the relationship with key product stakeholders and collaborate with multiple teams including engineering, strategy, marketing & business to optimize product features and contribute to metrics improvements
Own a roadmap of deliveries related to the products you support, and set up an effective prioritization in collaboration with your stakeholders to maximize impact
Build clear, concise and well-structured functional material (e.g. presentations, messages) and recommend improvements to existing material
Communicate across various levels of the organization, tailoring your messaging to that audience and filtering relevant information
Frame Expedia's most complex product and business problems as an analytics problem and concrete set of analytical tasks
Understand and make data-driven recommendations on processes, objectives, and challenges and their impact on the business
Pick analytically valid approaches that favor iterative delivery to solve for the objective, not the ask
Apply a range of common statistical methods to business problems using your knowledge with Python, R, or any other major ML programming language.
Be familiar with Tableau or any other data visualization tool, and apply data visualization principles consistently resulting in clear and consistent outcomes
Build data pipelines from clickstream sources in collaboration with data engineering. Extract data from multiple data sources and combine into the required datasets for model building or analytics
Conduct complex hypotheses testing
Design product experiments and apply common methods such as linear and non-linear regressions, statistical tests, multivariate analyses.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Science, Statistics or or any other related fields; or Equivalent related professional experience
An impactful individual contributor who consistently applies - and sometimes enhances the analytics capabilities, principles and playbooks to solve complex business issues and opportunities.
Operates largely independently and mentors more junior colleagues.
Develops and drives significant and sustained change and performance improvement from data-driven insights in several different areas or contexts.
Builds and maintains a data science project/product in production environments.
Experience managing junior team members is a plus.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
