Data Scientist II, Marketing Analytics

At Expedia Group (EG) Analytics we are looking for a curious and hard-working individual with a strong statistical and analytical background. The role is a Data Scientist II within Incrementality Analytics (within the Marketing Analytics team) and will be responsible to devise, develop, and maintain methods and tools that use a multitude of insights (from tests and from models) to help optimizing capital allocation. You will work closely with other highly skilled data scientists across EG, partnering with our digital marketing teams, as well as colleagues across Capital Allocation, Finance, and Product.

Who you are:
Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Mathematics, Science, Statistics or related Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience in a role focused on analytics or data science (e.g. driving significant and sustained change and performance improvement from data-driven insights)
Strong SQL skills, proficiency and experience in coding with R or Python
Good knowledge of statistical modelling techniques (previous experience in predictive analytics is a strong plus)
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
Ability to communicate sophisticated concepts concisely and clearly
Display strong domain knowledge, business acumen and critical reasoning skills
