We are offering an Attribute Data Scientist assignment in the Driving Experience department, part of the Complete Vehicle division in Volvo Cars' R&D organization in Gothenburg. This department supports our vision: "For life. Freedom to move in a Personal, Sustainable, and Safe way."
We focus on dynamic attributes like vehicle dynamics, brake attributes, performance and drivability, noise (road, wind, climate, cooling), solidity, operational sound quality, audio and ANC performance, interactive sound design, and trimmed body acoustics and dynamics. Working closely with design and release teams, we ensure an excellent driving experience for our customers.
To better understand our customers, we need to strengthen our data science and data engineering capabilities.
What you´ll do?
You will be part of an Insight team whose purpose is to lead, coordinate and support activities connected to data collection, data generation and data analysis to fulfil the overall goal of customer satisfaction for our different attributes. One important task is to turn data into insights.
The work in the team will be performed in collaboration with the attribute teams in the department and with central functions providing data, tools and processes. You will be responsible for leading and shaping our data and analytics capabilities to enable timely and advanced analysis that will help us drive customer satisfaction for our domain in Driving Experience, especially for structural dynamics and NVH areas such as wind noise, road noise, cooling and climate noise and other areas which includes fluid dynamics.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a person with experience both in the data science area and in the domain area of dynamic attributes such as structural dynamics, wind noise, road noise, cooling and climate noise and other NVH areas. Knowledge and experience in CAE methods for aeroacoustics and NVH is an advantage.
To be successful the final candidate needs to be open-minded, honest and have trust in people. You are a team player, comfortable working in flexible team constellations and in international contexts.
To fill this position, you need to have an excellent ability to build connections and networks and a positive and courageous attitude.
We see that you have experience in car product development, are fluent in English, written and spoken, and have a Master of Science in Engineering or similar.
