The Data Scientist, Computational Design, integrates and analyzes complex, high dimensional data sets to extract biological knowledge and conclusions relevant for Vaccines R&D. This individual supports different projects in an independent manner, with an understanding on the technical approaches, methods and strategies to drive vaccine and antigen design, reporting directly to the Head of Computational Design, within the Vaccines Discovery Data Science Centre of Excellence. This role ensures advanced data analytics and bioinformatics deliverables for Vaccines R&D projects are at the top of research and industry standards with respect to scientific excellence, quality and timelines.

In this role YOU will..

  • Develop and implement computational design methods and workflows for protein, antigen and/or antibody design, to impact multiple properties that are beneficial for vaccine discovery (e.g. protein expression, immunity, stability, solubility, among others).

  • Develop data analysis pipelines using combinations of heterogeneous, high dimensional datasets and tools, with a clear understanding of the structural biology context relevant for the antigen candidates of interest.

  • Innovate, foster collaboration, promote the data-driven organization, and improve processes, as well as accelerate and improve the work of scientist colleagues by collaborating with and supporting experimental groups to drive vaccine design and improve candidates, and partnering with other Computational Science colleagues to:
