About the Team
The success of TikTok's data business model hinges on the supply of a large volume of high quality labeled data that will grow exponentially as our business scales up. However, the current cost of data labeling is excessively high. The Data Solutions team is built to understand data strategically at scale for all Global Business Solution (GBS) business needs. Data Solutions Team uses quantitative and qualitative data to guide and uncover insights, turning our findings into real products to power exponential growth. Data Solutions Team responsibility includes infrastructure construction, recognition capabilities management, global labeling delivery management.
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced data scientists to join us in using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques including computer vision (CV), natural language processing (NLP), and audio signal processing to help optimize labeling process and data products, and maximize monetization opportunities. You will be responsible for partnering with a variety of stakeholders (product, operations, and engineering) and performing ML/data analytical and project management.
What You'll Do:
1. Work closely with stakeholders to capture requirements for data labeling projects and leverage data solutions for optimization;
2. Support data product managers and partners in prioritising the labeling project and analytical needs;
3. Work with large, complex data sets; Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems; Apply advanced analytical methods as needed;
4. Perform various deep learning techniques and data science applications for business use-cases;
5. Experience the entire model pipeline from data gathering to model delivery and maintenance.
1. 1-3 years industry experience in data modeling/analysis, with industry experience in deep learning and one of CV/NLP/Speech and advanced degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience;
2. Experience in data project management, and solid foundations of maths and algorithms;
3. Experience in cooperating with outsourcing data teams, experience in overseas monetization products;
4. Proficiency in Python and SQL, and DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch;
Preferred:
1. Proven ability to succeed in an innovative and fast-paced environment;
2. Excellent communication in English, influencing, and management skills, with the ability to quickly respond to complex projects in collaboration with global stakeholder teams.
