Data Scientist, Analytics Responsibilities
- Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.
- Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to cross-functional groups.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to proactively create rules and manage decisions.
- Prioritize leads so that teams work on the most valuable cases.
- Suggest improvements in tools and techniques to help scale the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following skills: - 1. Machine learning techniques
- 2. Working with large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP)
- 3. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- 4. Relational database (SQL or PL*SQL)
- 5. Developing in scripting language: PHP, Python, or Perl
- 6. Statistical analysis using R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
- 7. Large scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI)
- 8. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics
- 9. Communicating and presenting results of data analyses.
