The position

  • Gather relevant data from various sources to analyze production line and support function processes
  • Develop a deep understanding of specific aspects of processes and equipment involved in production as well as adapt strategies based on the organization's diverse and complex structure to ensure success in optimizing processes and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization through data analysis.
  • Utilize trend identification, downtime patterns, and peak performance circumstances to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, including management, supporters, and operators.
  • Utilize visualization software such as Tableau, Grafana, Power BI to present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Collaborate with peers across Novo Nordisk to share knowledge and improve methods, tools, and approaches.
  • Take initiative in shaping the role by deciding on data sources, acquiring process understanding, and selecting appropriate tools for data handling, analysis, and communication.

  • You will be a great asset to our team because you have:
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer science or Engineering, Biotech, Chemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. 
  • Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Preferably you also have:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with accessing and analysing data from a complex manufacturing setup.
  • Knowledge about UX design
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks (e.g. scrum)


About the department
The position is part of the our local Digitalization and Innovation team of data scientists and engineers that is dedicated to improving and visualize production data across our production and drive Industry 4.0 solutions from idea to implementation. You will join a growing, diverse, and inclusive team that is working with the most awesome projects from our production complex. 

Finished Products site Kalundborg is part of Biotech & Rare Disease. At our site in Kalundborg, we are more than 650 colleagues responsible for transforming the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) into the finished medicine for people living with serious chronic diseases. We work with advanced processes such as formulation, filling, freeze-drying in a sterile environment. We bring value to our patients by delivering high-quality products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) in a timely and cost-effective manner as we constantly optimise our processes and invest in the latest technology.
