TechFlow, Inc. is hiring a skilled Data Scientist to join our team, focused on working with large federal government customers to develop advanced machine learning models for predictive maintenance and resource optimization use cases in domains that include transportation, logistics, and smart energy solutions. The ideal Data Scientist will have experience in creating and maintaining collection capabilities and deliverables within an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and fine-tune machine learning models for predictive maintenance and resource optimization, tailored to the needs of federal government clients in transportation, logistics, and energy
  • Work directly with government clients to understand their specific needs and challenges, translating these into technical requirements for model development
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and insights relevant to the objectives.
  • Work closely with a development team to integrate machine learning models into broader solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices
  • Communicate complex data insights and model results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, predictive maintenance, and resource optimization to continually enhance the solutions offered
  • Ensure all data handling and model development comply with federal regulations and security protocols

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience (5+ years with Master's) in data science
  • 5+ years of experience (3+ years with Master's) in developing machine learning models, particularly for predictive maintenance and resource optimization to include:
    • Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
  • Experience working with large datasets and knowledge of data processing, data cleansing, and data mining techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in consulting or client-facing roles
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting and domain-specific knowledge in transportation, logistics, or smart energy is highly desirable
  • Ability to obtain and retain Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Jupyter Notebook experience
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer (Associate)
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning (Specialty)
