Job Summary:

As a Data Scientist within our Global Tax Technology organization, you will drive the integration of data science into our tax technology products and services. Collaborating closely with business partners, you will identify requirements, design experiments, develop models, evaluate performance, and implement solutions. This role involves engaging with various teams across the organization, including product management, development, QA, support, and external vendors.

About the role:

  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to enhance complex systems and processes.
  • Utilize exploratory analysis techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to identify patterns within extensive datasets.
  • Construct predictive models (e.g., linear regression, decision trees, random forest) and assess their performance using metrics like accuracy, precision, and recall.
  • Conduct statistical tests to analyze datasets and identify significant differences between groups.
  • Communicate findings effectively through clear visualizations and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with analytical solutions.
  • Design and implement A/B testing strategies to measure the impact of interventions on key metrics.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data science projects within scope.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data science or applied mathematics.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience developing machine learning models and evaluating their performance.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for tackling complex challenges and creating business value through data.
