As a Data Scientist at Allianz, you will develop end-to-end, data-driven solutions to support decision-making systems at Allianz. You will engage with business functions to develop ideas, proof of concepts and minimal viable products to support a transformation business case and release your models to cloud-based (Azure) state of the art production platform together with the support of IT, senior engineers, and scientists. You will analyze information from various data sources using statistics, including machine learning, to provide insights on various business problems. You will develop end-to-end, data-driven solutions (incl. GenAI) to support decision-making systems at Allianz.

As Data Scientist, your main responsibilities will be:  

  • Model Development and Implementation: Build, implement, and continuously enhance machine learning and statistical models using cutting-edge tools, translating business problems into robust data-driven solutions. 
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and convert them into actionable data science projects, ensuring that the solutions align with business objectives. 
  • Data Management and Analysis: Acquire, clean, and integrate data from various sources to address business issues. Use advanced data analytics techniques to manipulate and interpret complex datasets, providing clear insights and answers to critical business questions. 
  • Knowledge and Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the latest industry trends to maintain a competitive edge and apply this knowledge to drive strategic decisions and methodologies within the company. 

Let’s do the match? 

You have a Bachelors/Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Physics, Actuarial, Statistics, or Mathematics? Check! Knowledge of machine learning principles and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including linear models and tree-based methods for regression and classification? Check! Ability to easily interpret common performance metrics? Check! Proficiency in Python (libraries like scikit-learn, pandas) and experience with data manipulation/analysis? Check! Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) is a plus. Passion for machine learning and GenAI frameworks? Check !
