What you do


As a Data Scientist you will be part of the global actuarial and pricing team/roadside assistance LoB (RSA). You will be responsible to design, implement and maintain RSA pricing tool, data analyse and data science modelling for technical premium. The role will corporate closely with other global functions and international BUs within Allianz Partners, like global underwriters, operation, network, HR and Finance departments.

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Analyse, interpret, and present data ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of insurance data used in order to contribute to the production of actuarial analysis, insights and modelling.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial and machine learning pricing models, ensuring that the underlying actuarial assumptions are fully researched and validated and that the models can be integrated into business models.
  • Responsible for rate monitoring reports in high quality and audit trail documentation for pricing assumptions.
  • Support on-going development, maintenance and validation of pricing tool.
  • Contribute to innovation and efficiency across the pricing and underwriting functions, identifying and develop enhancements to achieve increased accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across the underwriting cycle
  • Communicate the data insights and interpret pricing results transparently to underwriters with either technical or non-technical background.
  • Works collaboratively with global underwriters, finance, operation and network teams etc.

What you bring

  • Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistic background preferred
  • Really good Python knowledge
  • GLM or data science modelling experiences 
  • Proven experience in  Large data management and analyse
  • SQL or SAS experience is preferred or keen to develop
  • Fluent in English
