Job Description

  • Having a deep understanding of data, data concepts and predictive techniques, data analysis

  • Being able to manipulate, analyze data and run feasibility studies, proof of concepts (sql, python)

  • Having good understanding of client’s data needs/requirements and being able to gather feedback from stakeholders to fully understand clients’ needs and requirements

  • Being able to design/propose analytic plans with appropriate data mining and statistical techniques 

  • Defining detailed analytic scope and methodology which will answer the right client’s questions

  • Familiarizing yourself with existing deliverables and solutions across Europe. Identifying enhancements to existing solutions and approaches by promoting new methodologies and best practices in data science field  

  • Familiarizing yourself with new tools/software/techniques/AI/Gen AI

  • Having a strong sense of scalability

  • Being a data advocate and showcasing our capabilities to other teams. Identify trends in our client work to inform Visa’s data product development path.

  • Working with VCA consultants, Data Solutions team, Engineering teams in all European markets. Working with data science/tech teams who are responsible for building automated solutions which you will design/prototype.

  • Helping to drive innovation and shape data product roadmap for Merchants & Acquirers practice area. Identifying data product development opportunities across markets and helping to shape the vision of data products

  • Supporting documentation which will be required when launching a new data product/solution (training material, sales collateral)

  • Design data solutions which are business-centric (from data through visualization to storyboarding and predictions)

  • Communicating plans with internal stakeholders. Being able to successfully prioritize work and influence other decision makers.

  • Advocating data ethics & compliance and having a strong understanding of Data Privacy, Disclosure Rules

  • Commercial focus on priority outcomes, including related P&L targets

  • Be able to flex, collaborate and build credibility across global cross-functional teams, including suppliers, partners and stakeholders as required - across multiple disciplines including data product, sales, data science, innovation, development, operations, finance, legal/regulation and marketing

  • Act as SME and spokesperson providing the voice of data products within Visa in Europe and externally in Visa client meetings, ensuring awareness and Visa leadership role in the data category.

Qualifications

•Minimum of 3 years of experience with big data, data product management
•Strong data analysis skills (sql/python).
•Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools and outstanding
analytical skills. Must be able to analyze and interpret data and to critically
evaluate information gathered from different sources.
•Hands-on skills in reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Micro
strategy
•A broad knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies and analytics
techniques such as SQL/Hadoop, coding, machine learning/AI,
statistical/predictive models, data cleansing, large scale data analysis, etc., .
•Demonstrable prior data product experience of successful data product
development and roll-out, and clear understanding of the impacts to
stakeholders throughout the end to end lifecycle
•Commercial and Financial experience of managing assets such as investment
funds and data product P&L
•Proven ability to take initiative, solve business problems, and have focus on
client success
•Must be a problem solver. Must have the ability to proactively identify and
resolve issues, including unique, complex problems.
•Educated to degree level
•Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently, as well as a part of
a culturally diverse team
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to effectively
interact and collaborate with users, team members, management and other
resources in a cross-functional, demanding environment.
•Fluent in English. An additional European language is a plus.
