A Market Facing & Client Engagement Data Science manager has the responsibility of leading a team and being a reference for the statistical designs in NIQ, in the application of data strategies and analysis to support the needs and business inquiries from clients, in addition to lead the data science activities for a specific market/industry on new and established products. 

This role is Hybrid in our Mexico City office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate and align with other Data Science team units to deliver and prioritize objectives​ 
  • Leverage Product Enhancement, Product and Technology teams to bring to the market services and solutions.​ 
  • Enable your team to focus on innovation and contribute to the company's objectives.​ 
  • Works as data science business leader to partner leaders in CS, Commercial, PL teams besides clients 
  • Support others to understand and apply more complicated technical principles & methodologies, creating clarity and focus for teams to deliver. 
  • Identify and adopt new and innovative methodologies in solving challenging problems. 
  • Execute projects effectively and independently to the required expectations, report planning on methodology lines and PoC. 
  • Design effective solutions to complex challenges 

Qualifications

About You: 

Direct contact with Sales / Clients to understand strategic business needs, translate them into analytical strategies and offer innovative solutions driven through cutting-edge methodologies in Data Science. 

Requirements: 

  • Professionals with degrees in Math, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields involving statistical analysis of large data sets.​ 
  • 7+ years of experience in market research or relevant field​ 
  • Team management experience-at least 2 years
  • Experienced in high-level programming languages (f.e. Python, SQL, Scala), as well as with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, MicroStrategy). 
  • Domain expert knowledge at least in one area of the following: programming, statistical analysis / machine learning/deep learning, time series, sampling​ 
  • High level understanding of Retal Measurement Services
  • Detailed understanding of CPG/FMCG Industry and Retail market impact on client’s business within the market.​
