Job Description

The Marketing Data Science & Analytics Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks related to developing reporting templates, collecting and analyzing data, and providing recommendations to our clients. They provide insight to inform strategies and optimization, deriving and building reporting from multiple platforms and applicable retailer and media analytics toolsets.  This person will use data, measurement, and visualization tools to mine for insights and help inform decisions.   

This individual will build strong relationships and establish clear lines of communication with agency teams, clients, and partners. This role requires someone who is analytical, has exceptional attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal skills, and uses problem-solving capabilities to ensure excellence in program execution to meet and exceed stated objectives. This is a role that is requires interacting with clients as well as working closely with e-commerce and media planning and buying teams to make sure that the goals of the client are achieved.

  • Attend regular meetings with the client and/or client teams
  • Identify new opportunities and recommendations for improving client’s performance, seek to understand the why behind the need, and able to make connections to facilitate the most relevant conclusions
  • Planning and executing measurement plans for digital media, social marketing, digital commerce, and retail/shopper marketing campaigns
  • Developing performance reporting presentations by partnering with the media team to develop a cohesive story that represents the client’s business
  • Show attention to detail—work can consistently be relied upon for thoroughness and accuracy
  • Assist in building deliverables that include recommendations from statistical models on which business drivers are the most impactful and provide guidance on operationalizing optimizations and implementation (e.g., playbook)
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, new technologies, and meaningful changes to approaches to measurement methods
  • Respond to questions and inquiries via written deliverables, email, or phone 
  • Shows confidence in front of an audience, able to deliver the message clearly and concisely, understands their audience, and delivers message appropriately
  • Maintain project status reports and timelines

Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of experience in data science, analytics and ecommerce analysis
  • Familiarity with e-commerce ecosystem (keyword research/application, brand pages, PDPs, retail data)
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage tasks within multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Act as a liaison between clients, internal teams and data teams
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels—in teams and with individuals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to draw conclusions, determine strategies, and take appropriate action based on trends
  • Experience with marketing technologies and measurement methods
  • Experience with data visualization tools (particularly Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Excel)
  • Understanding of database design and tools (in particularly SQL)
  • Intermediate understanding of SEO, web design, and UX best practices
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and remain flexible in times of change

Compensation Range:  $70,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 4/12/2024.
