The Team and the opportunity

As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Strategy role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategical assets. We are looking for a Data Strategist who is passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.

You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements.

The Data Analytics and AI team serve as relied advisors, both practical and innovative, to embed innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas and transforming data into strategical assets.

Working across all industries, you’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategical goals both internally and externally. As a manager, the opportunity to assess and improve our clients’ reporting policies and corporate governance processes will impact these ever-changing areas during transformational and regulatory changes.  

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist organisations define their vision and strategy for Data and AI and support them to execute this strategy effectively.
  • Support organisations as they scale their analytics capabilities, providing insights into the skills, capabilities, ways of working and approach required to achieve success.
  • Help organisations to develop and refine their operating model for data and AI.
  • Lead the establishment and evolution of the Data Analytics capability within organisations, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry trends.
  • Stay abreast of general industry trends and industry best practices to ensure the organisation's data strategy remains cutting-edge and effective.
  • Conduct capability assessments to evaluate the current state of data management and identify areas for improvement.
  • Understand key business drivers within an organization and help to articulate and quantify the value that data and AI can deliver.
  • Lead the rollout and scaling of data assets and products, ensuring they deliver value and support the organization's strategical objectives.

To qualify for the role, you must have.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with a proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
  • A completed degree (bachelors, masters, or PhD).
  • Proven experience in setting up and leading a Data Analytics capability in a complex business environment.
  • Broad knowledge of all areas of data across Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Visualisation, Data Governance, and Data Operations.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategical thinker with the ability to translate business needs into effective data strategies and actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation.

Ideally, you will also have

  • The ability to demonstrate keeping pace with industry trends and apply best practices to data strategy and operations.
  • Strong experience in consulting, with the ability to provide strategic advice and practical solutions to business challenges.
