About this opportunity 

Welcome to the TxB Analytics team; the business intelligence and data science team that enables TxB and our customers to become more data driven. We add value by creating actionable customer insights to optimise existing business while at the same time exploring new revenue opportunities and improving efficiency. To be successful we need a tech savvy and analytical mind with great business understanding. What you’ll be doing: 

  • Work closely with our most important stakeholders, understand their needs, capture requirements and conduct workshops with them. 
  • Utilise data analytics to build data products so our stakeholders can make important strategic decisions, grow income, improve operational efficiency and develop Nordea’s product offering. 
  • Identify business opportunities (e.g. sales leads, merchant intelligence opportunities, etc) utilising internal and external data.  
  • Apply data science techniques such as statistical modelling and machine learning. 
  • Acquire, process and structure data in collaboration with data engineers. 
  • Support and collaborate closely with other team members.  

You’ll join a strategically important area getting all the support needed to succeed.  

The role is based in any of the Nordic countries or Poland.

Your profile and background: 

  • You have experience working as a Data Scientist or similar where you have experiences with analytical and quantitative problem solving using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning methods. 
  • You have a business consulting mindset and are proactive working with stakeholders to understand their needs and how analytics can help them. 
  • You are familiar with SQL and have programming experience with e.g. Python. 
  • You are familiar with Power BI (or similar business intelligence tools). 
  • Data engineering experience/understanding is an advantage. 
  • You are business minded, analytical and have excellent communication skills in English (both in text and verbal). 
  • You are a social, curious and a pragmatic team player. 
  • You have a MSc/BSc/BA degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics or related quantitative degree.
