Fraunhofer ISC combines in-depth expertise in material sciences with their application in functional and sensory systems, including engineering and process know-how. Recent developments resulted in a progress at the physical level towards automated production platforms based on robotic and IoT devices. This infrastructural change is accompanied by the introduction of digital information systems and data structures on a virtual level. As a young team, we bundle the institute-wide activities around the digitalization of material development in the "Digital Transformation" department.
