What you’ll do

In your role as Associate Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, and quality assurance in a development team. You will assess and solve issues in new or existing code, and work with high attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with your team members to ensure success. In your day-to-day you will:

  • Work with a team of highly technical and motivated developers.
  • Collaborate and work with teams spread across geographies and time zones.
  • You will work on the entire lifecycle of development projects, both customer specific and SAP-defined.
  • Implement functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop and deploy efficient AI/ML modules that drives complex business applications.
  • Adhere to SAP's agile engineering practices and processes. Own your code from ideation to development, across the full stack and through QA and support.
  • You will work on multiple topics and technologies with adequate enablement.

What you bring

Are you analytical, self-motivated, and enjoy problem solving? Do you enjoy continuous learning and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment? If this sounds like you, do you also bring:

  • 2- 4 years of experience as data scientist
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Python libraries like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, spaCy is required.
  • Proficient in any one area of AI/ML streams - Predictive analytics, Text Analytics/NLP, Machine Translation, generative AI
  • Experience in domains of data mining/analytics/machine learning on real-life datasets
  • Gathering and analysing data, identifying key prediction/classification problems, devising solutions, and building prototypes.
  • Strong Hands-on experience with Python, R & SQL
  • DevOps knowledge (CI/ CD, Jenkins, Pipeline Management) is desirable.
  • Knowledge about the SAP Business Technology Platform is desirable.
  • Formulating machine learning approaches while paying attention to business metrics, designing features from the rich data available from many sources, training, evaluating, and deploying models.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience on cloud platforms and applications will be an added advantage.
  • Work closely with other team members, SAP development teams, external partners, and customer teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Enhance existing skills continually and seek newer areas for personal development.
