CACI is seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy and Governance Project Manager to join our team of technical and functional experts supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters, Chief Technology Officer Directorate (CTOD), Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology (AI/ET) initiative. This team works with a federal workforce staff with technical expertise for the smooth functioning of high-visibility, department-wide AI initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with AI Governance policy development, governance process implementation, drafting policy with relevant stakeholder buy-in, and policy staffing and approval. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and demonstrate a passion for AI technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy and Governance Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and completion of projects related to AI Policy and Governance. Duties include all areas of project management, from initiation through closeout to ensure the successful execution of the project's mission, goals, and objectives. The Project Manager reports to the Task Order Program Manager and works directly with the federal lead for each project.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for all aspects of project performance.
Provide overall direction to all project activities and interactions with clients.
Manage multiple policy and governance projects simultaneously
Manage matrixed functional and technical experts to plan, organize, and direct activities for all projects assigned in order to achieve project goals
Support the production of AI Governance policy development and related IPT/working group support.
Draft policy documentation, solicit feedback, and submit for approval AI Governance related documents.
Develop informational products for internal and external stakeholders in the form of fact sheets, reports, memos, and recommendations.
Assist in development of briefings for internal and external audiences, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the current guidelines and policies
Perform quality control to include editing documents for grammar, format, and content.
Assist in coordinating draft responses, talking points, and other materials for use during working groups and other meetings.
Conduct research and provide analytical support, conduct analysis and drafting recommendations in support of the governance documentation.
Ensure that project goals and objectives are met within contract terms and conditions
Produce project deliverables based on the full scope of the Statement of Work (SOW)
Ensure Program Manager and senior level management within the client organization are aware of overall program status including risks, strategic options, and decisions for resolution.
Provide thought leadership to drive customer mission priorities and program success.
Bring a collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership.
Stay current with the latest advancements in AI technologies, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
BA/BS and 8 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent (equivalency includes MA + 5 years applicable experience or AA + 10 years applicable experience)
Documented experience (AI policy and governance preferred) as a senior policy advisor, policy writer, and/or governance process development and implementation (resume should clearly highlight this qualification).
Experience working in a geographically dispersed, remote workforce
Strong organization and communications skills and ability to work collaboratively with Senior Government Leaders
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
Strong initiative to proactively establish relationships, setting up working groups to achieve outcomes, finding opportunities to innovate and improve value, as well as providing new ideas for improvement
Ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction and management oversight
Able to understand the customer operational needs and identify areas for improvement in business processes and propose solutions
Application level understanding of 508 compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Certification (PMP, Scrum, Agile)
3+ years’ senior staff policy and governance experience (e.g. Congressional Staffer, Federal Department Staff, 3-Star GO/FO Staff)
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate effectively with program employees, government/client representatives, and internal organizational functional representatives
Able to discover relevant data, understand the context it is being used, and apply experience analysis to turn data into useful information
Experienced receiving initial information and guidance, conducting research to better understand requirements, and achieving high quality results
Ability to ensure compliance of products made available for public release on government sites

The proposed salary range for this position is:
