Senior Systems Analyst / Systems Analyst (Mobile & Web Application / Artificial Intelligence) (23240716)

The Senior Systems Analyst / Systems Analyst will join the Applications & Integration Services Section playing a crucial role within the Office of Information Technology, reporting directly to the Senior Information Technology Manager. The incumbent will be responsible to actively contribute to the development and support of web and mobile applications across different areas in the University, aiding our digital transformation towards the AI-enabled community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and provide supports to existing systems and applications (Java/ Mobile App/ Web);
  • Integrate AI products to automate processes and improve efficiency;
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: requirements gathering, analysis, web/ system/ mobile apps design and development, testing and maintenance support;
  • Assist team lead to prepare system specifications and documentation;
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies to meet evolving business needs;
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors and system implementers;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly; and
  • Provide support for any IT projects as required. 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline;
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience in application development;
  • Experience in:
    • either Web or Mobile Application development (iOS/ Android);
       
    • Development of web, and mobile application with technologies like React, React Native, Node.js, PHP, Java, Python and Javascript, etc;
       
    • Utilize web application servers such as Oracle Weblogic Server, IBM Websphere Server, and Apache;
       
    • Database management and operations with tools like MSSQL, and NoSQL DB;
       
    • System Integration / development of AI-related products; and
       
    • Agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps;
       
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a plus;
    Eagerness to learn and develop AI/ML related skills; and
  • Self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Systems Analyst.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
