JOB DESCRIPTION
AI Governance, part of the newly established AI & Data Innovation Department is unleashing new opportunities at Visa by developing and driving the business strategy for AI / Gen AI and data innovation. Driving the development of novel AI / GenAI / data science technologies and leading data product development to create value for clients and partners and driving innovative application of AI / data science to solve business problems among other Innovation activities. The AI Governance team is accountable for creating and owning Visa’s entire AI Governance policy and processes. The AI Governance team is a critical catalyst for data innovation, maximizing the impact from AI and Gen AI technologies and capabilities in a way that aligns with our Data and AI principles.
The AI & Data Innovation Department in turn rolls up to the broader Global Data Office (GDO) led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer. The Senior Manager, AI Governance Program Management will report into the Global Head of AI Governance and will be a key member of the AI Governance team. This role will own, operate, and update the Responsible AI Launchpad (RAIL) program that guides Visa’s responsible AI use and helps the business develop innovative AI while mitigating risk. This individual will also own the longer-term initiative to migrate current processes to a more robust technical platform.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead the definition, development, and ongoing management & evolution of the Responsible AI Launchpad (RAIL) program.
Be the RAIL subject matter expert. Evangelize the program, maintain documentation, and train the business to grow the community of responsible AI users at Visa.
Review incoming RAIL requests, collaborate with AI users, and cross functional subject matter experts to gather additional detail, when necessary, perform review versus existing AI Governance policies and rules, document and justify the assessment, and communicate the feedback back to the business in a concise and effective manner that will enable decision makers to make informed decisions on the appropriate risk response.
Use knowledge of Visa’s business strategy, AI Governance, Global Data Policy, and Global Privacy Program requirements to inform RAIL’s execution and risk rating processes.
Design, implement, and oversee suitable processes and system capabilities to maintain a comprehensive inventory of RAIL submissions and projects.
Turn data into action through the creation of management reports and related dashboards to assist with measuring RAIL’s impact, following up on projects that require deeper risk assessment, and the early identification of risks and trends.
Contribute to the development of enterprise-level technology solutions, leveraging automation, AI, and ML techniques.
For issues identified in the RAIL program, provide recommendations for enhancements and follow-up as necessary to ensure proper resolution.
Track and understand the fast-moving AI governance and program management landscape and propose changes to the RAIL program as well as overall AI Governance as needed.
Provide ad hoc support for other AI Governance workstreams as needed or special projects.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161,500.00 to 210,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
