MISSION
We offer a 6-month duration internship as of September 2024. In this role, you will be in charge of developing state-of-the-art algorithms to detect aesthetical or functional defects on watch/jewelry parts.
RESPONSABILITIES
In close collaboration with the R&I Automation and Machine Vision team, under the responsibility of your internship supervisor, your main responsibilities will be the following :
- Evaluate the SOTA algorithms for anomaly detection with real luxury industry datasets that will be provided.
- Explore the generation of synthetic defaults.
- Adapt the most promising algorithms to allow their integration into the Richemont current software ecosystem.
- Eventually, deploy a first prototype on the production line.
- Tightly interact with R&I teams and teams from other Richemont’s Maisons & Manufactures.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team on related projects.
PROFIL
You are a master level engineering student with specific knowledge in : data science, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, statistics, python (mandatory).
Knowledge of optics and C++/C# would be advantageous.
Proactive and autonomous, fast learning, target-oriented,you like new challenges. You enjoy teamwork & possess very good communication skills.
Fluent in English, you have a good knowledge in French.
You are interested in the luxury industry.
Driving license would be appreciated.
Based mainly in Buttes in the premises of the Manufacture Horlogère ValFleurier, you will also have the opportunity to rub shoulders with colleagues from other research sectors within our hub located in Microcity, Neuchâtel.
