We are seeking an experienced Analyst, Revenue Data Science to join our team. This is a hybrid position and will be based in our Fort Lauderdale office. In this role you’ll be responsible for discovering profitable ideas from the reservation and customer data, collaborating with business units within the Commercial Department to implement data-science-driven solutions based on these ideas, and delivering significant improvement in revenues and profits. You’ll be a trusted advisor to the business units on key strategies and systems on revenue forecasting, optimization, data science, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal and external data sources to generate ideas for innovative data science solutions with significant impact on business revenues and profits.
  • Prototype and evaluate the value of the ideas and present findings and recommendations to the business units.
  • Develop data science solutions and deliver the promised values.
  • Maintain and enhance the revenue management system (YODA).
  • Maintain and enhance the existing data science solutions within the Commercial Department, including Passenger Revenue, Onboard Revenue, Marketing Planning, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Present technical scientific material to non-technical audiences in a way that is meaningful and understandable to them.
  • Introduce new tools developed by the Data Science Team to the business units and provide training.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Economics, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics; Advanced degree preferred. 
  • 1 year Data Science experience applying research and other advanced methodologies to solve complex issues / business problems.
  • 1 year Revenue Management, Forecasting, Optimization, Reporting.
  • 1 year Statistical analysis and modeling.
  • 1 year Python, R and SQL.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

This is a hybrid role, based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $67,800-$91,500. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
