Job Description: 

We are offering a student internship / master thesis / student worker position (f/m/d) to enhance our capability to perform research in the area of Artificial Intelligence applications.
You will be involved in the design, development and implementation of a reference software stack for Large Language Models and tools. In this position you will be able to sharpen your profile in the development of real-world applications and learn to work in an open development team. Please note, that in order to be taken into consideration for this role you need to be enrolled in a study program.

Please note that the student needs to be enrolled for the full duration of the student employment.


You will be working on

  • programming tasks around Large Language Model orchestration software and tools

  • a framework to automate the interaction with one or multiple Large Language Models including prompt engineering

  • an interface to retrieve internal documents from a ticketing system

  • Integrate internal documents to customize existing models

  • a web interface to interact with the orchestration framework in form of a guided dialogue

  • configuration tasks for underlying Linux servers hosting the LLM and the orchestration framework

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor or Master student in computer science electrical engineering or similar field

  • General good understanding of AI models and their programming using pytorch

  • First experience with GenAI models especially Large Language Models

  • Good programming skills especially in Python

  • Experiences with Unix/Linux

  • Language fluent in English German is a plus


Advantageous

  • Understanding of Transformer type Neural Networks (NN)

  • Preparing data sets for NN training

  • Prompt engineering

  • Finetuning and RAG methods for LLM customization

  • Langchain framework

  • Experience with Jira or other ticketing systems

  • Experience with requirements management or quality management
