We are growing our team in Data, Digital Sales and Engagement (DDSE) Finland. We are looking for a person that loves working with data and analysis to join our existing Analytics team. In DDSE we are a group of specialists in various fields; everything from digital marketing and content production to web analysis and data science. Collectively, we are responsible for engaging new and existing personal customers in digital channels, and driving sales via online/mobile banking and nordea.fi.

About this opportunity 

This is a role within Personal Banking Analytics Finland / Data, Digital Sales and Engagement. In Data, Digital Sales and Engagement (DDSE), we are building the omnichannel customer journey seamless experience and for that we need to connect different data sources across our platforms and applications. We want to send relevant personalised messages to our customers offering the right product or service, in the right channel, at the right time. 

What you will be doing:
    
As a Data Analyst / Data Scientist, you will act as a link between data and omnichannel customer journey development. You will work on e.g. product portfolio, sales funnels, campaign performance, sales reports, customer segmentation or propensity models for marketing, You are able to clearly communicate complex issues in an easy and understandable manner to a wide range of stakeholders.

In addition you will be:  

  • Participating actively in the work of digital customer journey teams, training and coaching the team to utilize data & analytics
  • Giving regular updates and insights on how omnichannel business is developing including e.g. sales, activity performance, customer behavior, pricing, process steps and demand
  • Helping on the set up of customer engagement activities: analysis to identify target groups, evaluate data availability, support utilizing sufficient control groups, monitor the outcome of activities, and evaluate the results
  • Recommending and performing analysis of different data sources to spot development trends and pain points
  • Together with a wider data analyst community, take part into building analytics & tools needed for business development

The role is based in Helsinki, Finland.


Who You are


We are looking for a curious, driven Customer Journey Analysts / Data Scientist that is a crucial part of a customer journey team. Our dream candidate is someone who is comfortable working on their own or as part of wider data analyst community to support our business stakeholders in Personal Banking.

Experience/ Background:

  • Academic degree in highly quantitative discipline or specialisation such as Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance, and you have understanding of statistical concepts (e.g. Hypothesis Testing) and machine learning models.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics. Ideally you have experience working on analytics / data science projects delivering tangible benefits / outcome
     
  • You are comfortable in using languages for data science & statistics e.g. Python, R, SQL
  • You know your ways around databases like Snowflake & visualization tool such as Power BI
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and preferably also Finnish
