About this opportunity

Welcome to the Business Control team, a team of 8 FTE’s who brings a diverse set of skills. The responsibilities includes driving the financial planning and forecasting processes, income- and cost controlling, management reporting and presentations to internal stakeholders, pension and risk product reporting expertise, finance change and process expertise. We add value by combining financial expertise and strategic thinking to drive effective financial planning, analysis, and decision-making within the Nordea Life & Pension organisation. 

The Head of Business Controlling plays a critical role in supporting the NLP DK CFO in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring strategic alignment, enabling effective decision-making, managing financial reporting risks and drive organisational success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the 8 FTE Business Control team, fostering collaboration, ownership, passion and courage.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management by preparing- and communicating financial performance reporting to the customer responsible units in Nordea DK, partners, senior management and the Board.
  • You wil be driving the performance management agenda in the NLP DK Finance organisation, taking lead on finance activities that supports that we meet the financial – and business targets.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, transparency and high quality of the financial operations in NLP DK.
  • As an integral member of the Senior Financial Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic development and alignment of the Finance organisation. 


The role is based in Copenhagen at the Nordea Headquarter, Metro, next to DR Byen at Grønjordsvej 10, 2300 Copenhagen S.

Your experience and background:  

  • A track record of leading, coaching and guiding people through high demands in an efficient way whilst role modelling Nordea values and Leadership principles.
  • Experience in influencing the thinking of senior management and banking leaders to create alignment, enhance decision-making and achieve results.
  • Have a solid understanding of performance management and financials gained from working in either the Pension- or Banking sector in Denmark.
  • Excellent communicator in Danish and English, both spoken and written 
  • A relevant academic degree.
