We are looking for world-class AI Software Engineering graduate interns to help us build the future of technology.
As an AI software engineering intern, you would:
- Partner closely with R&D organization, working in a highly collaborative environment where you’ll be exposed to the entire scope of a deliverable rather than just the ML portion of the project.
- Quickly prototype and iterate on algorithmic concepts such as dynamic execution for LLM interference optimization, KV caching for Intel AI hardware.
- Design, implement, and evaluate large-scale language models and generative AI systems for various domains and applications.
- Develop and maintain software tools and libraries that support machine learning workflows.
- Research latest advancements in generative AI technologies, frameworks, and algorithms, and identify opportunities for their application in the organization.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced startup-like environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:
- Programming skills in Python and demonstrated willingness to use these languages for machine learning based applications.
- Courses in Generative AI model technologies/ algorithms such as transformers.
- Willingness to work independently.
- Passion about delivering high-quality products, seeking to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate clearly and confidently with partner teams.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

- You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- The candidate must be pursuing a Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Deep Learning or Machine Learning or a relevant engineering discipline and 6+ months of experience in the following:
- Machine Learning toolkits such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
- Willingness to commit to 6-month internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with building Deep Learning applications.
Publication record at conferences.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, California:$63,000.00-$166,000.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
