We are looking for a Director of Marketing Science & AI to join our Connected Sales & Marketing (CS&M) Data team. This individual will comprehensively understand end-to-end business scenarios and establish a centralized business logic and taxonomy to drive accelerated business results for our Account Based Marketing (ABM), partner lead referrals, paid acquisition, sales enablement and analytics initiatives. The role also includes designing, implementing, and leading the decisioning engine, building next best action capabilities and identifying Gen AI business scenarios and opportunities while leveraging our Customer Data Platform (CDP).

Business Scenario Management

• Develop a deep understanding of Microsoft’s sales and marketing business scenarios, objectives, and related operational processes and capability needs.

• Capture business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize them.

• Enable Connected Sales and Marketing capabilities within Microsoft’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) to support more effective targeting, personalization of marketing tactics, and provide in-depth insights for actionable sales strategies.

• Develop a framework and operating model for Gen AI and Sales recommendation business scenarios related to Connected Sales and Marketing activities.

• Oversee the development of an intake process and execution of project communications and deployment plans within scope, timeline, and budget, ensuring alignment with relevant communities.

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, media, analytics, platform engineering, data engineering, data science and marketing operations teams to centralize end-to-end business logic. Business Logic & Taxonomy Management

• Collaborate with the business team to identify key business logics, rules, and taxonomies.

• Lead the solution design for the Unfiled Logic Portal as part of Microsoft’s CDP.

• Oversee the development of business logic and taxonomy implementation to ensure consistency across platforms and systems.

• Promote the adoption and utilization of centralized taxonomy and business logic for all connected sales and marketing scenarios.

Decisioning Engine Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify comprehensive business and technical requirements.

• Lead the architectural design for the Connected Sales and Marketing Decisioning Engine across diverse channels and platforms.

• Oversee the development of the decisioning engine, integrating centralized business logic and taxonomies.

• Design advanced next-best-action capabilities to enhance marketing scalability and drive personalized customer engagement

• Advocate for the widespread adoption and utilization of the decisioning engine across all connected sales and marketing scenarios.

AI Business Scenario Management

• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Gen AI team, Data Science team, Marketing Engineering team to identify and prioritize AI-related business scenarios and define AI capabilities to support marketing and sales strategies

• Lead the design of AI solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives and are scalable for future needs

• Oversee the development and implementation of AI capabilities and solutions, ensuring quality and alignment with strategic goals

• Drive adoption and usage of AI capabilities across the organization to promote efficiency, scalability, and growth

• Stay current with AI trends and advancements, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve existing processes Stakeholder Experience, Management, and Engagement

• Act as a subject matter expert of our connected sales and marketing business logic and taxonomies while understanding how data translates into marketing and sales execution.

• Build positive stakeholder relationships with marketing technology and operations, engineering, and business teams.

• Represent Connected Sales and Marketing priorities to data and engineering stakeholders and in relevant data governance forums.

• Run forums to review data platform health or operational issues and drive resolution.

• Prepare and deliver executive updates about the status of projects as a part of an ongoing business performance reviews.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
