Aviva is seeking a Data Science Analyst who together with our Data Science community will be transforming Commercial Lines insurance at Aviva.

We are offering this role to someone with an appetite for problem solving and interrogating data with practical experience in programming and data management skills.

What you will be doing? 

  • Support in the development of Data Science models, including the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. 

  • Support for the development of IT tools, in particular with the use of Python, R, SQL. 

  • Conducting and documenting analyses using data analysis and Data Science tools in accordance with specific project tasks. 

  • Preparation and processing of data necessary for analytical processes while taking care of their quality and adequacy. 

  • Performing tests of changes/updates in systems/tools in accordance with the assumed scenarios. 

  • Compliance with internal standards, contributing to ensuring the highest quality of services provided. 

  • Performing other duties at the request of the supervisor. 

 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  • Good analytical skills 

  • Good computer skills and R, Python and SQL 

  • Basic knowledge of data science, including machine learning 

  • Written and spoken English skills to present complex technical issues in the workplace 

  • Interpersonal skills (working in a group, actively participating in discussions, receiving and giving feedback)
