The opportunity

Modern technology produces more data than ever before, but also provides the tools to store, organize, analyze, share and govern this data, resulting in new opportunities and substantiated business insights in support of new and deeper insights and more informed decision making. EY delivers leading services and solutions in the area of big data, business intelligence, data engineering and data governance built on a blend of tools and custom-developed methods.

As part of our AI & Data practice, a team with more than 250 people doing projects with leading clients in Greece and abroad, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to support clients in a wide range of data initiatives aiming to generate and present new, useful and actionable insights. You will have the opportunity to work and take responsibilities in challenging engagements, gaining exposure to clients in various sectors both in Greece and abroad.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Participation in large-scale client engagements.
  • Leverage EY leading practices and methodologies to support the definition and roll out of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes and related tools.
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance, ensuring data ownership & accountability.
  • Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information assets, including authoritative systems, data domains, data owners, etc.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality, metadata management and data protection standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Define indicators for performance, compliance and adoption of data related policies, standards and practices.
  • Lead workshops to onboard client teams to data governance policies and tools.
  • Put into practice good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete complex projects.

To qualify for the role you must have:

Whether you're just starting out or have years of expertise, we have a place for you on our team. We are looking for people at multiple experience levels, from Consultants, with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience, to experienced Consultants (at Senior Consultant, Manager and Senior Manager levels) with many years of experience.

  • A BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent subject
  • Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management and data quality practices
  • Good understanding of databases and data structures
  • Basic understanding in Visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent command of English both oral and written

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Good understanding of Data Architecture aspects
  • Relevant certification(s) in the field of data governance
  • Working experience with data governance tools
